Booking a party is easy ….
Please fill in the booking form with as many details as you can to provide us with contact and party details. Once we have confirmed that the date and time is available, we will ask you for a deposit to reserve the party.
On receipt, we will ask you to confirm the activities you would like and any added extras such as a party pot or birthday cake.
Make a bird cake
In true Blue Peter style, we will make a treat for the garden birds. A mixture of peanuts, breadcrumbs and a few more tasty morsels are combined together to make a cake that can be placed in the garden.
£2 per child.
Decoupage a plant pot
We’ll decorate a plastic plant pot by decoupage (kind of like paper mache!), using our favourite kids comics. Once the glue has dried a little, it’s time to top it up with compost and sow a few seeds. Bring along any old comics that you have spare … we like to recycle them when we can!
£3 per child.
Painting and planting
After painting a terracotta pot, we’ll sow some seeds of annuals, which will attract the bees and butterflies. If the time isn’t right for seeds, spring bulbs will be planted instead. (It’s best to combine with a second activity to allow time for the paint to dry!)
£5 per child
A flowering wigwam
Peasticks are used to make a wigwam, following which we plant morning glory or sweet pea seeds at the base of each peastick. After a little tlc whilst they get started, the flowers will soon be scrambling to the top!
£5 per child
Plant a strawberry tower
Three bio-degradable plant pots are used to create a tower, adding strawberry plants along the way. Lots of tasty fruit will soon be ready to pick!
£8 per child
Bean tunnel
A tunnel of peasticks is put in place and seeds are planted at the base. The seedlings will soon appear and start growing up the sticks. Marigolds will also be planted to encourage beneficial insects.
£4 per child
Make a wormery
The kids love it … the adults, maybe not so much!! Introducing the idea of composting in a fun way, a glass tank will be layered with sand, chippings and soil … and the the worms! Veggie peelings and leaves can then added to see how the worms do their work.
£10 per child
Butterfly and bee border
Nectar rich plants are planted into the garden to make a colourful display, as well as attracting bees and butterflies.
£6 per child
Butterfly / bird mask
Templates are used to draw around and cut out foam masks and the kids decorate them with glitter, sequins and feathers.
£3 per child
Plant a row of veggies
A perfect way to get started ‘growing-your-own’, seasonal veggie plants will be sown suitable for the time of year. Companion plants will also be planted alongside, which will help keep unwanted pests at bay.
£2.50 per child
Make a scarecrow
If you have veggies already growing in the garden, this might be a great way to keep away unwanted visitors. Built on a basic frame, the scarecrow could be a fun addition to the garden … grass seeds are sown for hair, so it might need a trim once in a while!!
£6 per child
Planting bulbs
Spring or autumn bulbs will be naturalised into the lawn or borders to provide a colourful surprise. For spring planting, pick from crocus, freesia or allium. For autumn planting, the choices include daffodils, bluebells and fritillaria.
£5 per child
Sunflower race
Sunflower seeds are planted into a sunny spot of the garden, supports are put in place ready for the sunflowers to race up towards the sky. The flowers can be kept to feed the birds after the summer.
£2 per child
Plant a herb pot
We plant up a strawberry pot with a selection of culinary herbs.
£8 per child
Make a bug marker
With plenty of bug options, the children can create their own name or veggie markers – favourites are spiders, ladybirds, bumblebees and butterflies.
£3 per child
Make a hairy caterpillar
A fun activity in which we make the basic caterpillar is made at the party and taken home. If it is watered daily, grass will soon appear – the caterpillar might even need a haircut after a while.
£3 per child
Apple printing
Decorate a canvas bag to make a book-bag ideal for school. Younger kids might like to do a simpler potato printing version so we will adapt the activity for each party.
£4.50 per child
Willow creations
We use prepared willow stems to create a butterfly or snail to take home … you choose! An ideal activity for slightly older children as a little time is needed before the creations take shape.
£6.00 per child
