We’ll be entertaining the children with plenty of hands-on activities, based on our nature, gardening and wildlife themes to keep them occupied for the hour and will always include a take home item.

Easter egg give-away with HOUSE magazine

NWFK will be giving out easter eggs for all little peeps that take part in HOUSE magazine’s competition, in their Easter edition available from 25th March 2011.
There will be pictures of easter eggs hidden throughout the magazine. All the kids need to do is spot, count up and write the number of eggs down that [...]

Bere Farm open day; 30th March 2013

[ March 30, 2013; 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. ] At NWFK, we thought it was about time to put Bere Farm on the map and so we would love to invite you to our SPRING OPEN DAY on March 30th.

We will be offering plenty of FREE activities and competitions for the kids to enjoy, plus face painting for £1 per child from our friends [...]

Little Critters workshop

November 15, 2013; 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. ] If our full day holiday club is not for you, then our themed workshops might be a better option. Our ‘Little Critters’ workshop focuses on garden wildlife, making habitats and providing crafts based around birds, hedgehogs, bees and ladybirds. Suitable for children 6yrs+.

Making bug photo-frames, bee homes, hairy caterpillars, bird and butterfly masks, bird [...]

Bees and Butterflies workshop

Our ‘Bees and Butterflies’ workshop offers activities based around bees, butterflies and nectar-rich flowers, suitable for children 6yrs+.

Making butterfly feeders, flower magnets, wildflower bombs, willow butterflies and bee homes.

Muddy Fingers workshop (6yrs +)

[ August 21, 2013; 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. ] If our full day holiday club is not for you, then our themed workshops might be a better option. Our ‘Muddy Fingers’ workshop is largely based around gardening and grow your own activities, suitable for children 6yrs+.

Typical activities:

Making plant markers, strawberry towers, garden plaques, wildflower bombs and bean wigwams.

We will be teaming up with our neighbours at White Pepper Cookery School to offer a fun and action-packed evening. Activities will include a spooky Hallowe’en trail, pumpkin-picking and carving plus a cookery session. An evening supper is also provided.

Dinosaur and Fairy Garden Workshop

[ August 31, 2012; 9:30 am to 10:30 am. ] We will be creating two landscapes in this parent and toddler workshop … based on a dinosaur and fairy theme. A painted tyre will be used as a container which we will plant up and assemble to make a creative, imaginary world and decorated with additional crafty bits n bobs!

Kids Gardening club

May 26, 2012; 9:00 am to 11:00 am. ] Our ‘party-tunnel’ has been spruced up and it’s time to get planting. So without further ado, we are launching our weekly kids gardening club on Saturday 21st April 2012. Equipment will be provided but bring your own wellies.

Times: 9-10am, 7 yrs and below. 10-11am, 8 years plus.

Price: £6 per hour, or book 10 sessions for £50.

FREE charity workshop, Damerham

[ March 24, 2012; 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. ] NWFK is joining forces with local charity Funquest based in Damerham, Fordingbridge. The charity encourages kids to play outside and make the most of their natural environment. We will be holding a FREE workshop, located in the grounds of Western Downland Primary school, making willow creatures and maybe doing a little planting too!!

Christmas workshop

[ December 6, 2011; 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. ] Join us at Bee-A-Bug Play Cafe in Westbourne, where we will be holding a Christmas workshop in the Garden Room on 6th Dec 2011, 4-6pm.

There will be plenty of take home goodies, as activities will include making a Christmas wreath, planting some winter bulbs and making willow decorations for the Christmas tree.
